Wow, I can't even imagine one of my 1st graders creating an app! This is awesome. If this doesn't prove that kids are able to handle new technologies better than adults then I don't know what else could!
Holy cow, Batman! What a genius that young girl must be! As we know, children carry around something like double the number of neural cells as do adults, making things like language acquisition and, apparently, technological creativity a relative breeze! Sadly, we go from 200 million to 100 million neurons by the time we reach our twenties unless those cells are put to good use. Here is a wonderful example of how we should stretch our young children by giving them constructive, creative learning opportunities.
It's great to see how advanced more and more children are becoming with the use of technology! I feel that when children are given the opportunity to explore, they do so with open arms. When adults are given the opportunity to explore, there always seems to be a fear that something might go wrong. What we as adults need to understand is that with all of the advances in technology, there's always a way to go back...
